New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Hi my name is Iris I just had a picture made into a pattern this is my first time doing this. I had it done in basic so my question is it C2c are is it regular crocheting ?

Welcome!  Smile

My apologies...I can be a bit dense sometimes, LOL.  I'm not quite sure what you're asking.  The stitches in a graphghan pattern bump up against each other and you work as in normal crochet, e.g., right to left, then left to right.  Unless you're working Tunisian, and then depending on whether you're right handed or left handed, you'll work right to left for every row or left to right.

I just thought of what you might be talking about.  If you're inquiring about whether or not to bump the pattern chart squares up against each other or letting them be spaced a bit when you're creating the pattern, that's a matter of personal choice...there's no right or wrong.  Smile

Hope that helps!  Smile

i found out for a baker in our local asda which is owned by walmart that she never even got the cake she wanted in there either she got a photo put on to a cake of the 5 super heores for 10 euros which is the standard price for putting a pic onto a cake lol

Melanie,

It would cost us to go to court.. Maybe more than the things that needed to be done would cost us.. So definitely not worth it..

Oh my god.. Working plumbing is a must.. o.O
So rude to not tell you sooner.. :/
But glad you got it anyway.. What would have happened if you had not taken it in the condition you did? Would you not have a place to live then?

There are also certain condition that have to be met when getting a loan for a house here in denmark. But it is not as much the house condition, but alså you own finance situation (of course)..

Mostly they look at the report on the house..
I do not know if our reports are the same as yours, but here the inspector will make a 'K-list'.. He will look at fx the windows to see if they are as they should be.. The roof - will the house need a new one.. The floors - are they leveled? Electrical stuff like outputs and stuff.. Litteraly EVERYTHING is looked over..
He will then give the different things a rating.. From K0-K3.. K0 is merely cosmetic things, where a K3 is something that has to be fixed ASAP..

We had 3 K3's on our house.. One of them is our terrace that is a bit to high compared to the vents leading air under the house.. That is an easy fix, since we would just have to remove some tiles..
The other one was because there were missing some labels on the electrical cabinet telling wich stuff goes where (stupid that it is a K3 but still)...And the 3rd one was because of some lamp outtakes that was not secured proberly.. Also an easy fix..

A K3 can also be huge cracks in the outside walls that can effect the structure of the house.. Or if the tiles in the bathroom are not laid properly so that water can get underneath.. So ours are very small K3's :p

If the house you want to buy has to many K3's the bank will start looking at you own financial situation to see if you can afford to fix it.. If their estimate is that you can't they will not lend you the money for the house UNLESS you won't need proffessionals to do the repairs..

Buying a house here in Denmark can be quite confusing.. o.O

I hope to get some time to relax as well.. I really need it..

Dear Melanie!

Thank you so much for complementing me on my crocheting and on my English! (thank God there are online dictionaries!!!) Smiley

You are correct, it does look vertical. I have measured 10 stitches vertically and horizontally and they differ from each other for about 1mm. I am still in the process of making my pattern perfect. Terry has helped me a lot by upgrading me to 300 stitches in the pattern wizard, so I am not yet decided how large the picture will be. I am planning a blanket for my boyfriend with the logo of our favorite soccer club, so I now have to figure out how large to make the logo and how broad the edges around it will be. This will be a nice work for this weekend! Smiley

I am, in fact, not only a knitaholic, but I am also a numbers geek. I have made an xls-sheet, where I can input the colors via a number (1-6), and it will then calculate how much percent each color makes from the whole to determine my yarn needs. Of course, the sheet is formatted, so that when I enter a number it automatically shows the color it is supposed to be... :p

I can't wait to have the perfect pattern, because based on that, I know how much yarn to order (how many skeins of each color) and then I will still have to wait for the shipping...

Fortunately, there are still a few Christmas present projects I have to finish, so I am not bored until I can finally start with the blanket! Smiley

Once again, I have to say how happy I am that I found your page. It is really wonderful here! THANK YOU! Smiley
