New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hallo allemaal,

Hi, Everyone.
I've had a couple users bring up a problem with trying to download charts since I switched everything to a secure connection.
After looking into it a little more, it turns out that some browser versions and some device operating systems only allow downloading files by clicking on a download link. The current software performs downloads in a more advanced way through browser communications and not by clicking on a link.
SO, I'm going to quickly make a change to the internal download process. It appears that most of the problems are coming from Android devices so once I enable the changes, Android users will need to do one additional step to get their chart downloads.
I'll explain it more when the changes are done.
Terry
Debbie,
No worries, just change the charts when you get to them...they actually look fine to me, which shows you how green I am at reading charts like this!
Debbie,
Thank you kindly! I'm sure we've got a lot of areas where you can help tremendously .
Astrid,
Welcome!
We're so glad you like the freePatternWizard! Remember, not only can you limit the colors, but we have an option which is still fairly new, called the Stitchboard Basic Palette (as opposed to the Stitchboard Full Palette), which has light, medium and dark versions of the basic colors, plus a few extra "odd" colors. That's specifically for yarns, which will be harder to match to the "full" palette, since manufacturers don't want to make too many colors.
I'll let Terry (support) know about your suggestion - thanks! - though I wanted to say that there are three options for Tunisian...all of them depend on your particular gauge. Thanks to BetwixtTheStitch, we've worked out the different Tunisian stitches to Tunisian Horizontal, Tunisian Vertical and Tunisian Square. When you select any one of those options, you'll see a dialog box pop up and give specifics of the stitch type(s) which use the different shapes.
I'm so sorry your needles didn't arrive! It's so frustrating to wait, only to be disappointed. Hope they arrive today!
