New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello. Totally new to stitchboard, and love the possiblities that come with this graph generator. I just wondered if someone might be able to clarify for me please... the stitch required when doing a crocheted afgan would be single crochet stitch, yeah?
I also wondered if you could clarify for me also, that the 'count' on the generated colour palette refers to how many stitches of that particular colour, yeah?
I am pretty sure that the answers to both question as yes, but really want to make sure before I go and start on my design. I look forward to any and all replies.
Thanks kindly
Hello everyone. It is such a pleasure to be here. Thank you all for allowing me to join your community.
I have been crocheting for about 10 years now. I am constantly learning new stitches and techniques. This craft is amazing and fun to do. I look forward to chatting with you all.
I also would like to thank the creators of this site. It is absolutely fantastic. So see you all around. Again you have my gratitude for accepting me into your community.
Hi, Terry,
Great, had missed that post you made back then about the subject.
All is fine then.
Thank you

Something I really enjoy about posting these
updates. Both weeks I have thought that I didn't get that
much done. But looking at the picture from the previous week helps
show that no, there are a fair few new stitches here.
This week I got to work on big batches of solid colour,
mainly the grape cape, which is what it's now officially called. As
my dayjob was kind of hectic, then working on the rows of solid
colours was really nice. A bit less planning needed to make sure I
can keep going with the same thread for as long as possible.
I am a huge fan of purple too, but as on
the picture the cape is more red then I was wondering how it turns
out. But really, as long as the different tones in the cape look
good together and I dont have a print-out of the original image
next to it, who will know that the cape is a bit more purple than
it was intended?
The light was not great for
the pictures today. Next week I might try to take the pictures
during daylight, so you get a better idea of the
colours.
