New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen I am new to stitchboard. I love to crochet and consider myself to be an intermediate levelish crochet. Knitting is not my strong suit but I can cast on and off and do simple knit and purl stitches. Using the knit stitch I have managed to make a small pillow but that is about as good as I have done with that. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in the forums! Forgive me for the puntuaction and grammar errors
Much love to everyone and have a fantastic day, evening , or night as you read this!!!!
Okay, So here it is:
Lace: 4" = 15 blocks/ 4 blocks per 1 inch.
Cotton Thread: 4" = 11 blocks/2 per 1"
■ Lace Scarf 12" wide total, but 2 inches is side trim.
■ Curtain 30-1/2" wide with 2" off for trim.
I played with a rose image for the scarf and it destroyed the image. So Im not sure what Im to do now.
BJ,
What Sherry said is spot on...a word chart is so much easier to use than an actual chart. There are no problems trying to view blocks, and you can actually generate your pattern in both word and conventional charts for the rows where you do want to follow a conventional non-word chart, e.g., where you can see the blocks clearly.
We don't keep the patterns people create, so we can't go back and look at the pattern and get you a better copy of it if you've purchased it from an independent seller. Have you tried contacting the seller on Etsy? Can they offer you a better copy of the pattern? Perhaps they can regenerate the pattern as a word chart in addition to the conventional chart.
If not, my suggestion would be to take Sherry's excellent advice and generate your own pattern, at least as a word chart.
Can I please get an upgrade for the crochet to 500 please? I love this site, I have never really done crochet before other then a simple granny square blankets and your program has made it so easy that I have been working on my first graphgran and its coming out great but would like to make bigger ones too!
Sherry,
Hope it all works out well...I always love the looks of what you design, and every time I'm surprised and pleased by whatever new thing you're making!
Yeah, sport weight can be a bit tedious, sigh, just because it takes so much more time than, say, a worsted.
