New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

good evening everyone! i created my cross stitch work, but how can i know how many skeins to use for each color?
Thank you very much and have a good evening!!!
Jodee,
You're welcome! Hope all goes smoothly!
If anyone has done a photo with embroidary floss that included multiple colors would you please contact me? I've crocheted for years but this is my first of this particular type project and I could use all the help and guidance I can get!
Thank you so much in advance!
Ali
very unsual engagment cake an orca lol
Sarah,
The best thing would be to recreate your pattern using the Stitchboard Basic Palette. The basic palette was added specifically with yarns in mind. The problem with matching the full palette is that yarn manufacturers aren't interested in making hundreds of colors, as they'd likely not sell more than a few skeins of many of their colors. So this is why you're best off with the basic palette. I know the results are better with the full palette, but unless you're interested in making something with DMC numbered embroidery floss, the colors will be impossible to match, I'm sorry to say.
