New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Ann Benson has a great book on tapestry crochet. I have made many projects with size12 pearl cotton an 11/0 Czech seed beads with beaded crochet, which is very easy. The hardest part is making sure the beginning chain is straight and flat, after that it is simple. There are tutorials on this technique. If you can work a chain and single crochet you will be fine! As for durability, I made a cell phone case which has not come apart after a few years of abuse! I would suggest scanning a simple photo into the pattern wizard and have it charted for beading. The key I came up with had Myuki beads, but you most likely can substitute Czech beads if you can find the colors as they are less expensive and are round as opposed to the Myuki which tend to be more tube shaped although they are the same size. I hope this helps.
Thank you! I am glad I posted at a time when you got to see it.
I was worried about the color choices: orange, tan and yellow? but I think it turned out great. I know that there is no time limit, but I feel like a cupcake will turn out better if I stitch it in that month. Silly, but maybe I feel like I have the month's energy/blessing with me?
Well, on to July now!
Hello,
I am looking for a Toronto Maple Leaf graghghan patter of the new symbol, free if possible does anyone have any Ideas for me on where to find one.
Thank you
I'm assuming that you aren't any closer to having word graphs yet? I know I can't find a way at least. Just curious why it's been being worked on for almost 4 years now with no change even though it shows available for others, like with the illusion knitting graphs. The inability to have the word graphs is the one big downside. Like with mine, doing tapestry patterns with 50 to 100 colors is extremely difficult with just a bunch of symbols. At least without giving myself a migraine. With the illusion knitting it's an upcharge feature but it would be something well worth the little extra money. Please please please do something and please don't take another 4 years.
This is driving me mad.
Often when I'm making cross stitch patterns with text in them, the black lines of the text, no matter how clear and sharp, often come out as light grey, green, or are even absent entirely.
I'm aware of the issues with JPGs so have tried both GIFs and PNGs with no improvement. I tried limiting the colours of the image which really has only 5, flat colours to begin with - but this only seems to worsen the problem. Tips?
