New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Jodee,
Never in all of the years I've cross stitched have I seen a calculation for Aida in centimeters!
Probably the best thing I can suggest is to convert your final desired measurements to inches, figure your counts that way, and then you can take your final desired measurements and convert them back to centimeters.
You can do the calculations right online with free online calculators. It will be a lot easier to do it that way than to try to work 14 count into centimeters. My guess is the reason for centimeter measures of Aida not being available is because it's far easier to work in inches, since measurements are already keyed that way. I'd suggest not worrying about measurements in feet at all; simply use inches. The online calculators I've found by doing a simple search return numbers in inches, not inches and feet, so you should be okay there!
Another thing is if you decide to work your pattern in segments, you could use a contrasting color thread and do a simple outline around each section so you know where the top, bottom and sides are. Then remove the outline stitch when you're all done with each section.
Hope that helps! Sorry I don't have a specific centimeter measurement for Aida; it's simply unavailable no matter how much I search for it.
Galia,
Welcome!
Actually, the freePatternWizard defaults to "Graph Only." Make sure you're logged in, and when you get to #7, where it says, "Pattern or Word Chart:" make sure it's set to "Graph Only."
Hello everyone,
I am new to Stitchboard and am learning fairly quickly.
I am learning to use a loom witch I designed myself.
The Palette I am using the stitchboard full .
It is wonderful, but is there a colour chart to download?
I have other color charts for Miyuki-Delica
But not for the stitchboard full.
Can anyone let me know where I might find a stitchboard colour chart?
I have done two pictures so far, they are in the learning faze!!!
ksmith,
I've done tons of graphs, some I've had to edit in another program first. I'm thinking that the most likely thing is that the software is picking up pixels that you can't see with the naked eye.
Try putting your image into a photo editing program (I use GIMP), and magnifying it so that you can see those pixels and edit the colors a bit.
Another trick that will sometimes work, is to choose a yarn and then select I will choose my colors, then when the pallette appears check only the colors you want.
Sometimes it will take a bit of work to get your graph just the way you want, and you may have to run it through several times.
Hope this helps

Welcome!
In a future
version of the software, editing capabilities will be possible. I'm
sorry to say this is not possible with the current
version.
