upside down and backwards pattern

Hello, I'm new to making these patterns so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone tell me why my patterns are upside or backwards?

Tashia,
Welcome!
Are you knitting? Crocheting? Beading? My guess is you're crocheting, in which case you'd start your pattern from the lower right and work to the left; odd rows in your chart would be worked right to left, evens would be worked
in your chart
from left to right, working from the bottom row to the top.
This isn't to say you can't work a different way; however, this is the conventional way of working a crochet pattern.
If this is still a bit much, you may want to do a search for a small, simple charted pattern that's available online, perhaps only two or three colors, to get the hang of working from a graph.

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.
