Tribble,

How on earth did you wind up with an empty turtle shell?

I really like the cozies...it makes me want to get a tortoise just to make a cozy for it!  Laughing

I can't stop being amused by those pics.  The one with the Christmas tree I find particularly funny..."Look at me, I have to drag this stupid Christmas tree around!"  Laughing  And then the ones dressed like food..."No, I'm not a BLT!" or "Don't eat me, I'm not a turkey!"  LOL.

Though I guess my fave is the bunny..."Look at me, I'm a fluffy bunny!"  Laughing  LOL, maybe I'm just too easily amused!  Wink

Melanie,

I was at one of those Native American stores that sells different bones and such and decided to buy it. I know people eat turtles but this shell is too small for that I believe. I don't know. I felt like I was rescuing the poor shell, so I bought it. I've had it since I was a teenager.

I can't choose a favorite cozy! I love them all. Turtles are awesome.

We had one in our garden a couple years ago and I wanted to keep him, but as we really don't have to room we took him out to a pond and turned him loose. I adore turtles.

Tribble,

What a cool way to get the turtle shell, and I'm glad you think nobody ate the poor creature that was in the shell!  It could very well be that the turtle was gone long before you bought the shell.  Happy you rescued it!  Kiss

Turtles really are awesome!  They're so adorable.  Sounds like you'll need to make a bunch of cozies!  I bet you can make some interesting ones from your own imagination!  Kiss

It's great that you turned the turtle loose, leaving him at the perfect habitat.  Kiss

I adore turtles, too!  I would have a pet turtle...but we have a cat (I love cats, too).  Unfortunately, she'd make a nice dinner out of any small creature.  And she hates cats.  So that kind of leaves us with a single spoiled (but loving) cat!  Kiss
