Miyuki Seed Bead Numbers
January 17, 2018 at 12:31:27 PM

I'm having trouble matching the numbers on my beads with the numbers on your graph. How often do you update the Miyuki seed beads? Could I have more/different numbers than the software? I have my Toho's marked so I know which beads are Miyuki. Thank you.

Amandy,

While working with different manufacturers it's still been difficult for us to get direct information when colors have been discontinued. If you know of colors that have been discontinued, please do let us know so we can update our information. Smile

Thank you for your quick response. I admit it, I was panicking yesterday as this is the first complicated loomed piece I've done, meaning one with more than 5 colors. And it looked like I was going to have to buy bushels of beads to weave it.

I guess I'm wondering if you add new colors as Miyuki puts them out. While I thought I had a lot of different blue beads (overe 100 colors) I only had two colors that the program gave me. Yes, I know there's many more colors than that, but I was hoping the odds were in my favor that I wouldn't have to buy 58 new colors of seed beads. Plus it seemed like the colors I did have were higher numbers than those on the pattern. It could be coincidence. And another of Life's little jokes.

Thank you again.

Amandy,

You're very welcome! Smile

Just a thought...have you tried choosing your own colors? If you choose the blues you have, would that solve the problem? I understand...the cost of a lot of beads for a really large project would be prohibitive...beads aren't cheap!

To choose your own colors, in option 5 b) select, "I will choose my colors (select to see the colors)," which will open up small samples of colors and numbers that you can check. Smile

Unfortunately, we haven't found a source for new colors. We're trying to always keep the colors up to date. If you're aware of any source, please do let us know! Smile
