Colors
September 13, 2017 at 8:51:53 PM

I'm getting frustrated, I chose my colors, 4 of them and I either get 3 or I
get more than I want. It also will not give me the colors I choose.
This is a very special project for a friend who lost her little boy.
Can you please help me get it right.

I've notified Terry (Support) about this issue. Smile

I too have a question along these same lines.  I'm wanting to do an afghan project but the brand of yarn that I'll be using is Hobby Lobby's "I love this yarn" collection.  When making a pattern, this brand isn't named.  Is there a color conversion chart that I can use to choose the proper colors that I'll be needing?  Or........... is that anyway to get the "I love this yarn" colors into the pattern making section?
Thanks so much!

We're always striving to add palettes to the freePatternWizard, but we don't have that particular one at this time. I'm not aware of any conversion charts that are available. How about choosing your own colors, perhaps from the Basic Palette? This is in option #5a, where you'd set the palette to the Basic Palette, then in #5b you would select "I will choose my own colors," which will give you the colors in the palette with check boxes. (You could technically use the Full Palette, but I'm guessing the Basic Palette would have enough colors to choose from to approximate I Love This Yarn colors.)

Hope that helps! Smile

I'm having the exact same issue with the DMC colors for cross stitch patterns. It never uses the colors I've chosen, or it uses the colors it selects. On the rare times it does use colors I've picked, it will leave out at least 2 of them.

This is for a photo pattern so I'm not comfortable choosing my own colors willy nilly.  Additionally, I'm not familiar enough with the colors that "I love this yarn" has to offer to be able to accurately choose which ones will work.  This is why I rely on the pattern maker to help me.
