New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

PJ,
Welcome!
If this is the pattern you're referring to:

It is indeed a pattern, in chart form. Because this was uploaded by someone other than us, we can't control the form in which they uploaded it. If they didn't make it into a word pattern, which is what I assume you want, we're unable to turn it into one. Note: this isn't a picture. If you zoom in on it, you can see the individual squares and it's quite easy to see the pattern square-by-square.
If you're on a Windows machine and don't have a graphics program, I can give you info about two powerful and FREE programs that will allow you to view this file. I can't tell you how they work, LOL, because I use a program from 1998 , but one of these programs should allow you to zoom in and view the file.
This turned out so well!
Love how the virus stitch looks as an edging! It makes the design pop without taking attention away from the focal point.
Thank you for posting...love this one, too!
Galia,
You're so welcome!
That's an excellent question! I don't know the answer to that...I'm strictly a written pattern follower, have been meaning for a long time to learn to read symbol charts, but don't know how yet. (It would make sense to learn, though, because there are sometimes intriguing looking charts from other countries available for free online!) So perhaps you're right, others might use Excel or something like it to plot the stitches...it would make plenty of sense!

It looks a little complicated, but definitely worth a
try and it's free!! (always a plus in my book!!! I played around
just a couple of seconds and did the input and got this for the
graph. Is this what you are looking for?
