New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Welcome! Smile

Please don't tear your hair out.  The freePatternWizard currently won't convert a diagram.  At this time its function is to strictly take a photo or artwork and turn it into colors that can be used to reproduce the photo or artwork as a beadwork, crochet, cross stitch or knitting pattern.

If your diagram is an already graphed pattern of colors, the freePatternWizard won't take that and turn it into a word chart.  If your diagram is made up of crochet or knitting symbols, the freePatternWizard likewise can't turn that into a word chart.

We do have many other features planned, and we've had previous requests for word charts from diagrams, so this will likely be a future feature, but at this time I'm sorry to say it's not a function that's readily available.  We do take suggestions under advisement and we also strive to enable our most requested ones sooner, but please note we have over 100 features planned and are getting to them as quickly as possible!  Smile

Line,

Hee hee, let's petition for one exam per semester.  Wink  Um, yeah, somehow that doesn't sound like it would fly.

Actually, 1 1/2 hours sounds like about how long some of our exams run here.  So is it mainly that you get 4-6 hours to take them, but they don't really run that long unless someone needs an extra amount of time?  I've had it where there wasn't enough time or I needed a tiny bit more...but some professors are very strict that a deadline is a deadline.  And with them, if you're not finished, that's it.  Thankfully it was like that only with a handful of exams over the entire four years, and the rest were okay.  And then there were some that gave as much extra time as necessary...though it couldn't ever be 4-6 hours!  I took so long with one of my history exams, sigh, I think I stayed an extra 45 minutes at most.  Because we were allowed to make up our own topics for the essay portion of this exam, with professor approval on the day of the exam.  And I'd studied certain things that I thought would make a good essay, because he told us we could pretty much do that!

So the day of the exam arrived, we got to the essay portion, and he asked for subjects.  I gave the one I preferred...and he said there wasn't enough...oh, crap...there really was enough!  Frown  Then I gave another one, and he said that wasn't enough (oh, yes, there was!) but I could put it with something else (he gave the extra topic, which I did know) and that would be fine.  That was what I did.  But it was a lot, because of the extra part he wanted.  Surprised  I don't think he realized it added way too much.  And that's what took me an extra 45ish minutes, because I had to write my entire essay (by hand) - LOL, home computers were still in their infancy...okay, really, the Ice Age had just ended WinkLaughing - and putting both parts of the essay together took forever.  And the last I saw of the professor was that very day, so I received my grades through the mail.  I got an A on it...well, yeah, because I wrote and wrote and wrote that essay!

Kind of wish I'd had an opportunity to speak to him once more, though, because I wanted to hear him admit he'd given waaaaaay too much to cover on my suggested subject for that essay!

I love his hat...it looks so good!  Kiss  And his sweater is absolutely adorable!  Kiss

The picture isn't bad...no worries!  Kiss  He looks adorable and soooo nice and warm.  Your mother really did a great job with the sweater...are things getting better with her, I hope?  Holding my breath that everything is improving.  Kiss  Sometimes it can be soooo hard with parents.  Frown

Just a thought...do you want me to see if I can rotate the pic for you?  Kiss

Hugs!

Neave,

Absolutely agree with you!  Maybe if more women had been in charge over the years (instead of being forced into doing only the household chores and childcare), things would have been very different today.

Can anyone give me information about an upgrade?  I keep seeing people being upgraded but I have no idea how this is possible.  I have snooped around but I don't see an upgrade option and would love to make a crochet graphghan for my 77 year old dad for father's day!  I know!  I need to get busy on it, but would so love for it to be 250 across rather than 150.  I greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks much,
Jonna Pierce Smiley

If you're saying you've created a pattern with the freePatternWizard and saved it to your hard drive, the location of the pattern is dependent on the directory where you saved it.  Smile

You can do a search using a search tool (I use something called Agent Ransack, which is for Windows), and if you can't remember the name you gave to your file, you can discover its location by sending another image through the freePatternWizard, this time noting where you save the file.  Smile
