My name is Jeannie and I live in Sunriver, Oregon.  I am interested in learning how to get a peyote pattern from a photo.

Jeannie,

Welcome!  Smile

Love Oregon...went there once years ago...it's sooooooooooo beautiful!  And your gorgeous trees!

To create a peyote pattern from a photo, go to the top menu, choose "patterns" then "create a pattern."  That will bring you to the freePatternWizard.  Then you can choose the file you want, tell it "beading," "peyote" and then make the other selections you want.  Smile

I just tried creating a pattern from a photo just to test this program, but my pattern won't generate and I know I'm doing everything correctly.  I wonder why it won't work?  I'm using a brand new computer at work and most of the bugs and kinks are worked out of it, but it still won't work.

Cookie,

Please give us more specifics. Are you getting an error message?  A blank screen?  Please let us know.  Smile

Kathy,
Welcome! Smile
When using an image for something such as a beaded banner, it's best to make your image the size you want first in a graphics program, as the freePatternWizard isn't actually a graphics program. The size you want for your finished item should be number of pixels across = number of beads (stitches), so when you put it through the freePatternWizard, you would enter the number of pixels across as the number of stitches or choose the second option that says, "Use the actual number of pixels across in my image as the number of stitches across. If my image is greater than 1000 pixels wide, reduce it to show 1000 stitches across."
Hope that helps! Smile
