The Free Pattern Wizard 2.0 version is up and running! If you have a photo or your own artwork that you've always wanted to turn into a graph for cross stitch, knitting or crochet, here's your chance to do so, all for free! (Beaders, we haven't forgotten about you...the beading version is in the works right now and should be available soon!)

The newest version can generate an 8-12 page pattern in under 5 seconds!

UPDATE: The above is an older post; the Free Pattern Wizard program now also offers the capability of producing bead patterns in peyote, brick stitch, square stitch/loom, herringbone & RAW. You can show it on the screen and in PDF.

Hi,
I just found your site and the pattern wizard through a post on Ravelry. I have been playing the the pattern wizard for the past hour. It's so much fun and easy to use. I would like to know if users are allowed to use charts made with your program on patterns that will be sold. I have a shop on Ravelry and am interested in selling my charted designs- is that allowed with your program?

Thank you for your kind words about our program! We're so glad you're enjoying working with it and that you find it easy to use.

It's perfectly fine for you to sell any patterns created with the Free Pattern Wizard anywhere you'd like. In addition, if you'd like to sell them on our site, as well, we require no exclusivity, so you can sell them in both places and any others, as well.

We have plans in the works for extra features which will allow you to include items like a logo in any patterns created with the Free Pattern Wizard. Feel free to let us know if you have an interest!

I'm just stopping in to say Hi and was wondering when you will have the beading chart capabilities done so one can make a chart for peyote. Very much looking forward to this

Hi, you certainly can create peyote patterns from artwork or photos with the Free Pattern Wizard (the message above was from a while ago, before we had beading patterns enabled).

This capability is available to both members and non-members of Stitchboard, with a greater number of colors and larger charts available to members.

The program will also work for other beading stitches, such as brick, square, herringbone and RAW. In the future, we'll add other stitches and variations.
