Home page changes

If you've logged on recently, you've probably seen some changes to the home page.  We've added some new features (such as a slide show and Twitter feeds), and we've added some new functionality, too.

We've also added the ability for everyone to change the displayed color of the content boxes on the home page and the top menu site-wide.

In order to make these changes, go into "my area" in the menu bar, and then choose "my settings."  You'll see a sampling of colors for both the content boxes and the top menu; simply choose a color from each pull-down menu, and it will make those changes as you choose them.  (You'll be able to not only see the change to the top menu in the sample, but it will also change above as you choose.  You'll have to go to the home page to see more than the sample for the content boxes.)

I'm using the violet setting myself! 

One other function is to turn off the slide show on the home page.  That's also located in "my area/my settings," immediately below the color changes for the content boxes and the top menu.
