Hi, I ve figured out every single other line, but my (using an iPad 1 by the way,) I'm registered, i'm a vendor ,I am logged in, and still the section 1: image file name : choose file circle won't let me click on it or enter the name of pattern, or the #,also i dont know which one is wanted and the Choose file circle is only light gray. Please someone help! Thank you in advance, cathyjessy

Hi, Cathyjessy.

I have a feeling the iPad 1 with an early IOS version may not work. I did some research and the gist of what I've found is that when Apple first released the iPad 1, it was a simple tablet and was not supposed to be a replacement for a laptop or desktop computer. They advertised it as:

"SAN FRANCISCO—January 27, 2010—Apple® today introduced iPad, a revolutionary device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading e-books and much more."

From what I've found, there's no built-in file picker function on the iPad 1. I looked around and don't see one that you'd be able to install but that's just from spending an hour surfing the web. You may want to search the internet for a "file picker" addon or possibly a different browser that supports it and will work on the iPad 1.

I do know the freePatternWizard works fine under IOS6 and above and Safari 5.0 (8536.25). It even works fine on my old iPhone 4S using IOS6.

I found a similar problem with a very old version of Android. This one particular version is years old and for some reason is the only one from which Google removed the "file picker" program that lets you click on the "Choose File" button and select an image.

If you have access to a computer or other device, those will probably work fine. Or if you can find a "file picker" program or possibly an updated browser to install on your iPad, that would possibly also solve it. Sorry I can't be of more help but I'll keep glancing around.

Hi Terry, thank you so much for taking time from your busy day to spend I hr plus checking for me! Much appreciated! I've put 1 or 2 browsers on my iPad, but haven't got very far with them yet. Don't know a lot about computers, learning a lil as I go.one browser wants me to upload a certain http:// in a smartphone n my phone isn't smart !!lol . My boyfriends is, but he works late and so on. a few maybe possibles, if you can take a few more mins, are: it's in my email inbox, (my gmail too but don't know how to retrieve gmail password, but a maybe will help), it's in my sent Folder? Area, it's in my archive folder, its in my trash FOLDER, and it's in my trash can. Now too. Do you know if any of these, especially folders, will help (me graph my image.) ? Also, the image is a wallpaper, if that's of any help. Of course it's on my browser, but I don't think that helps, oh, & it may be of value that the wallpaper image I need to graph is its own app, or anyway when I go to my pages of apps I can click on it & the image comes up there, too. Pls get back withme about these ideas if you can, if none end up working, then I can ask my boyfriend to put it in his smartphone, but his time n sometimes computer patience with me is a lil short, especially if he's tired! Also, I do realize that folders may not work since I didn't call it a file, but I can send it to emails,maybe others gmails, kind of these( above message) are partial ideas, n pls use as many words or explaining as you think a beginner could use! Lol.

N just one more thing,if it helps, too, I have the "direct link" that it came from, the linked "BB code (forums)" it said but not sure what exactly I'd do with it, n also a link, I think I'd be called, think it was a http//: type thing, "websites & blogs (HTML)"-hotmail, right, if I can sign up for it, I haven't, but I could if it'd help copy/send the pic/design to a graph, just would like to put that or a very similar image on a piece of graph paper, to work with yarn.! Love yarn! Oh, and love the unique quotes, a great touch, & representation in telling us you understand! Think it's great you have big plans continue ing this site, or group,~no, don't know for sure what it's called. Lol.
